On September 4th, the installers arrived to begin the repair and replacement of the roof. They noticed that the shingles provided did not match the existing ones. After contacting their distribution center, it was confirmed that the original shingles had been discontinued at the end of 2012. Since the size and type no longer matched, a repair was not possible, and a full roof replacement was required.
At this point, Dae Won informed us that their roofing department had closed, and they preferred to pay a third-party roofing company to handle the roof replacement.
We began contacting various roofing companies and received several quotes. Some were unreasonably expensive, while others proposed using inferior materials and specifications.
After months of searching, we were able to find two highly reputable companies, both recommended by GAF, to bid on replacing the entire roof system using GAF products. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions, the installation will need to be postponed until next spring or summer for optimal results.
We came to agreement for Dae to cover the cost of the roof replacement.
